Running from August 14th to September 6th, the event served as a slight replacement to The International. With $500,000, the Tier 1 event played out like a regular Major in an online setting. A total of 12 teams made it into the event either by invite or qualification. Here they are, assorted by their concluding ranks in the Group Stage:

Group A

  • Team Nigma (4-1)
  • Evil Geniuses (3-2)
  • Virtus.pro (3-2)
  • Alliance (2-3)
  • 5men (2-3)
  • Natus Vincere (1-4)

Group B

  • Team Secret (5-0)
  • OG (3-2)
  • Vikin.gg (3-2)
  • Team Liquid (2-3)
  • FlyToMoon (1-4)
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas (1-4)

Right off the bat at the OMEGA League: Europe Immortal event, Team Secret went flawless in groups, dropping only a single map. This display would continue in the bracket:

OMEGA League: Europe Immortal Winners – Team Secret On Top of Europe

One of their greatest competitors in Evil Geniuses were playing with a stand-in player. Regardless, nobody showed much of a fight as Team Secret went on to secure the win with a total of 2 map losses – shocking.

It’s safe to say that Team Secret are on top of European Dota 2 right now.
