Vodafone Giants to remove Happy

News

According to a report by French Esports journalist NeLendirekt, Vodafone Giants will remove Vincent “Happy” Cervoni from their main VALORANT roster. Report linked below:

Vodafone Giants to remove Happy – Why?

In the report above, NeLendirekt addresses that the main reason for this change was due to poor performances by the team. That being said, Happy always delivered a solid individual performance, so it’s very weird to see that he’s the one being benched.

The team was first formed on January 16th, with hopes of having a promising project for the VALORANT Champions Tour. Unfortunately, not even 2 months in they’re already opting for a swap just before Challengers 3 takes off.

NeL’s sub-tweet states that this decision was mainly made by the organisation and management, and not by the team members. Giants historically have Spanish roots, and are opting for a Spaniard as their next 5th. Dropping Happy was probably the most efficient move they could pull off.

Who will replace him?

The report states that Adolfo “Fit1nho” Gallego, former player for Vodafone Giants will return to the team. With them, Fit1nho won VALORANT Master Series Invitational #1, as well as LVP – Genesis Cup Visión.
