Six Invitational 2021 Predictions – Is It Really That Clear?

News

7 May 2021

Gabriel Sciberras

For those unaware, the Six Invitational is competitive Rainbow Six Siege’s top event of the year. Accordingly, we’ve already provided details on how to watch the event here on esportsguide. Bearing this in mind, we’ve assembled some predictions for the Six Invitational 2021 in this featured article!

Heartbreak for Virtus.Pro

To begin with, we’ll have to announce some sad news. Due to the certain health issues, Virtus.pro has been confirmed as not being able to attend the event, reducing the number of teams from 19 to now 18. Naturally, they won’t be included in the following Tier List of predictions.

We’ll be basing the following Tier system on the international rankings.

Tier 4

  • Oxygen Esports
  • Parabellum Esports
  • FURIA Esports
  • CYCLOPS athlete gaming
  • Mkers

Coming in at Tier 4, these are teams not many believe have a shot, yet they should definitely not be counted out. One team to note here is Oxygen Esports who although are ranked low ion the international rankings, have a massive potential upset after placing so well at the NAL 2021 Stage 1 event as champions.

Do note that teams in this Tier are usually originating from lesser known regions such as CIS and APAC. In the history of the Six Invitational, such teams haven’t been able to leave much of an impact in this regard. Yet again, who knows what can happen here.

Tier 3

  • Team oNe eSports
  • Team Empire
  • FaZe Clan
  • G2 Esports

Moving over to Tier 3, we’ve got 4 more teams looking to pick a fight with more preferred teams. What’s G2 Esports doing here you ask? Well, although being victorious in Europe last year, they haven’t shown much success since last year, especially after finishing 7-8th at last year’s event.

On the other hand, Team Empire is a different story – finding more recent success with a win at the Six November Major for Europe. Let’s see if they’ll manage to surprise us at this upcoming event. Let’s keep moving with our Six Invitational 2021 Predictions!

Tier 2

  • Team Liquid
  • DarkZero Esports
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • Spacestation Gaming

Ok so, now we’re reaching some of the top contenders. These four are definitely teams who are regularly coming just short of absolute victory. Recently, Spacestation Gaming haven’t really shown their true forming, especially after winning the last event of this iteration.

Moving over, Team Liquid and Ninjas in Pyjamas are also in the mix as teams that are hungry for that first victory at the top event of the scene. Probably out of the four, DarkZero Esports are looking the most dangerous as of late.

Tier 1

  • BDS Esports
  • TSM
  • Giants Gaming
  • Cloud9

These are our top 4, based on international ranking. While we’re certain you’ve heard of both TSM and BDS Esport, the leaders of the NAL and EU leagues, the other two might be new for you. Speaking of which, Giants Gaming and Cloud9 both hail from APAC and deserve your attention. With these 4 rarely intermingling with one another, this is an incredible opportunity to see whether or not APAC has a chance here to make a deep run.

Viewership

I’ll conclude by saying that we expect a strong viewership for this event to demonstrate the livelihood of the esports scene. This could definitely help influence our next Esports Tier List – let’s see how the Six Invitational 2021.
