Kicking off in the coming few days, Overwatch 2 is promising new content in the coming week. Accordingly, the Overwatch 2 Update 2023 is bringing with it new maps and content which shakes things up competitively!
Overwatch 2 Update 2023 – Coming 7th February
While we may not have details confirmed for different types of content, here’s a trailer from Blizzard regarding the theme behind Season 3:
Indeed, few things have been confirmed, but the new map will be taking place in the Antarctic Peninsula. Taking the community to a new geographical area, we can’t wait to see whether the different texture of ice will play a part.
Here’s what lead narrative designer Gavin Jurgens-Fyhrie had to say in a press release from Blizzard:

While the map may seem playful, it may play a bigger role in becoming part of the official Overwatch League map ruleset.
Indeed, there’s more to look forward to such as Battle Passes, other game changes and who knows – maybe a new agent?
