The past month has been a journey for PUBG Mobile esports. Accordingly, the final event of the year is still underway and looking to conclude in the coming week. Specifically, in this featured article, we’ll be previewing How to Watch the PUBG Mobile Global Championship Finals 2022!

Indeed, with $4,000,000 on the line, originally the top 50 players from all over the world gathered. Organized by KRAFTON, the event kicked off in the Malaysian Battle Arena with some early stages of format.

Moreover, from 50 players, multiple stages of competition narrowed down the participants. Following a Group Stage, Survival Stage and Last Chance, we arrived at our top 16 on 4th December.

Earning their spot after multiple stages, the Grand Finals competitors are as follows:

  • DRS Gaming
  • Fire Flux Esports
  • Geek Fam
  • Godlike Stalwart
  • IHC ESPORTS

Taking place from January 6th to 8th, the competition will be heading to Jakarta, Indonesia. Specifically, competing are 14 teams from League Stage and 2 teams directly invited.

With regards to the format, there’s only one thing left for these final 16 contenders.

Moreover, 18 matches will take place with all 16 competitors in the same lobby, earning points through placement and points.

Here’s how teams of four can earn points:

  • Elimination Points – 1 per elimination
  • 1st place – 15 points
  • 2nd place – 12 points
  • 3rd place – 10 points
  • 4th place – 8 points
  • 5th place – 6 points
  • 6th place – 4 points
  • 7th place – 2 points
  • 8-12th place – 1 point
  • 13-16th place – 0 points

As always, teams will need to balance earning elimination points and high placements in order to finish with the most point overall after the 18 rounds.

With regards to the schedule, broadcasts will be live daily at 17:45 (UTC+7). Everything is viewable on the PUBG Mobile Esports YouTube and the Twitter page of PUBG Mobile Esports.

With regards to the Grand Finals, predictions will focus on the teams who have performed the best so far.

Accordingly, the Group Stage saw three groups with direct qualifications up for grabs. Here are the top teams from the three groups:

  • Red Group – Buriram United Esports (300 points)
  • Green Group – Godlike Stalwart (260 points)
  • Yellow Group – Geek Fam (292 points)

Considering these performances, these three are the favourites currently should they maintain their form.

In addition, do note that the likes of Nova Esports are still in the competition – the defending champions from the 2021 Grand Finals event.
