T1 signing Autimatic for VALORANT

T1 have just announced that they will be signing legendary CS:GO player Autimatic for their VALORANT roster. Here is their video announcement:

T1 signing Autimatic for VALORANT – Who is he?

24-year-old Timothy “autimatic” Ta is an American FPS player who spent most of his career in CS:GO. His most memorable moments were during 2016 and 2019 under the Cloud9 banner. With them, Autimatic has won quite a couple of events, as well as won a major. Here are Autimatic’s biggest achievements in CS:GO:

  • 1st at the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 – 28th January 2018 – $500,000
  • 1st in ESL Pro League Season 4 Finals – 30th October 2016 – $200,000
  • 3rd-4th at Esports Championship Series Season 1 – Finals – 26th June 2016 – $80,000

Why did he switch?

After Gen.G ceased operations with its CS:GO squad, Autimatic was left option-less in Counter-Strike, and it led to him switching over to VALORANT. Here he’ll be pairing up with an old teammate of his, Skadoodle. Both have previously played for Cloud9 in their CS:GO division, and together won the 2018 Major.

Is that all the news?

With the recent news of fRod departing the team, T1 have also recently brought on a new coach, David Denis.

This T1 roster has gone through multiple shake ups and changes, but now with a 6th man on the team, they just might get some solid results. Their upcoming event is the Stage 1 Challengers 2 of the North American VCT.

Vitality reveal VALORANT roster

French organization Team Vitality has finally opted to reveal its VALORANT roster. Here is their video announcement:

Vitality reveal VALORANT roster – Who did they get?

The roster is made up of the eXiLe Esports duo of ceNder and feqew, alongside 3 other talented players, Bramz, M4CHINA, and Vakk. No one in this team had played with each other on a former team, except for the main duo. They have all recently paired up to play in the Red Bull Home Ground event. Unfortunately they were paired against G2 Esports off the bat, one of the toughest teams at the event, and they were eliminated instantly.

Ofcourse, this team is still very new and fresh, and will take some time for them to get the chemistry going. Team Vitality understands this, but they also realize the potential that this squad has.

Vitality’s lineup for VALORANT:

Players:

  • Bayram “bramz” Ben Redjeb
  • Jokūbas “ceNder” Labutis

VALORANT shooting mechanic controversy

Loads of Pros have been talking about VALORANT’s shooting mechanics and running accuracy. Here they debate on how it should be changed or balanced. Here’s everything you need to know about the VALORANT shooting mechanic controversy.

VALORANT shooting mechanic controversy – What is it?

Right now, in VALORANT, running accuracy is extremely accurate. Same goes for jumping with certain weapons. This issue was first addressed when the classic pistol (burst mode), including some shotguns, were too accurate in jumping scenarios. A few days after it was a hot topic amongst the VALORANT scene, Riot changed up the accuracy values, and the game felt smoother. However, people are encountering more and more instances of enemies being highly accurate when running with a weapon like the phantom. Here’s a clip to show you what we mean:

As you can see, despite the player having one of the most precise weapons in the game (Operator), he still wasn’t able to take down the Sova due to his movement. In fact, one of the best aimers in the world, ScreaM, has voiced his opinion on the current VALORANT shooting mechanic.

What are the developers doing about it?

Thankfully, Riot have addressed everyone’s concerns and will be bringing notable changes in patch 2.02. In this patch, Riot have once again changed numerous values for the weapons. Here’s a list of them below:

  • Running Error across rifles increased from 3.75 to 5.0
  • Walking Error across rifles increased from 0.8 to 1.1
  • Crouch-moving Error across rifles increased from 0.3 to 0.8

Hopefully with these changes, VALORANT can feel better and more rewarding for very good aimers. It’s going to be interesting to see which professional players are impacted negatively from this change.

Flights is one of the most popular content creators when it comes to VALORANT. He uploads to Youtube and streams on Twitch on a regular basis, always impressing his fans with his incredible movement plays with Raze.

His Youtube first exploded when he released a tutorial video on how to pull off the Raze Satchel Boost. The video consisted of one of his signature plays in VALORANT, and has 1,144,890 views at the time of writing. If you haven’t seen the video yet, we took the liberty of linking it down below:

What’s next for T1 VALORANT?

We’ve seen time and time again T1’s involvement in VALORANT. It first started with the announcement of the T1 Korean roster, and then with the T1 Academy squad. Now they are doing one step further and entering the content creation world within VALORANT. Hopefully this will lead into further collaborations with other content creators, and possible future signings for T1.

Alliance signing Fearoth for VALORANT

European organisation Alliance has just announced that they are signing Fearoth as their first member and player for the VALORANT roster. Here is their announcement:

Alliance signing Fearoth for VALORANT – Who is he?

Enzo “Fearoth” Mestari is a french player who kicked off his VALORANT career with the team HypHypHyp. With this team, Fearoth showed tremendous potential, and then moved on to play for the Ninjas In Pyjamas. At first, the team seemed promising, but a few months later, the NiP squad went through an entire overhaul, and Fearoth eventually parted ways. He is now looking to continue where he left, and resume competing under the legendary organisation Alliance.

Here are some of Fearoth’s best results in VALORANT:

What’s next for Alliance?

Obviously the next step is to continue revealing and announcing the rest of the players for this roster. During Fearoth’s free agency period, he played with a couple of mix teams, which might lead into near future signings for this Alliance roster. However nothing can be confirmed as of yet.

Koosta transitioning from CS:GO to VALORANT with Gen.G

North American organization Gen.G has announced that one of their main players, Koosta will be transitioning from CS:GO to VALORANT. Here is their announcement:

Who is Koosta?

Kenneth “Koosta” Suen has had quite a journey when it comes to his CS:GO career. He kicked it all off back in 2014 with Tempo Gaming, and slowly climbed up the tiers of CS:GO teams. A few years later he found himself representing Ghost Gaming, and later on Cloud9. After the Cloud9 roster turned to shambles Koosta, Daps and Autimatic were transferred to Gen.G. They played a few events in 2020, but ultimately the squad didn’t adapt well to the online CS:GO meta, and eventually departed. Here are some their best results:

Why is Koosta transitioning from CS:GO to VALORANT?

On December 26th, Gen.G benched the player that kickstarted their entire roster, PLAYER1. Ever since then, the team had been looking for a solid replacement, but hadn’t found a solid player yet. Now with the announcement of Gen.G parting ways from their CS:GO roster, it became a feasible option for Koosta to re-sign with Gen.G but to represent them in VALORANT.

Koosta has not yet made a statement regarding his switch, however with North American CS:GO taking a big bump when it comes to organizations backing up players, VALORANT seemed like a more feasible option for him.

We’ve seen many players with a CS:GO background transition to VALORANT; however, with each swap and change, we are seeing clearly the fall of Counter-Strike in North America.
