Immortals have just announced that they are making some changes to its management and coaching staff after a very disappointing start to the Summer Split. They have stated that they have released their General Manager “KeatonCryer” and LCS Head Coach Thomas “Zaboutine” Si-Hassen. Here is their statement:
Immortals ended the Spring Split in 8th place with an 8-10 W/L, placing just above Team Liquid after their disastrous start to the 2020 season. After this result, the management team knew they had to make some sort of change in order to not replicate what happened in the Spring Split.
Extremely disappointing season. Not really much to say except I won't let this happen again.
Immortals’ management decided to transfer their main jungler, Jake “Xmithie” Pucher and support, Nickolas “Hakuho” Surgent to their academy team, and bring in Nicholas “Potluck” Pollock to the jungle, and Austin “Gate” Yu to the support role. Here is the video Immortals released to announce the changes:
The changes that they made to their roster were definitely unexpected as Xmithie and Hakuho were 2 of the best and most experienced players they had. Nonetheless they went with the change and proceeded to start the summer split with the adjustments made to the Immortals squad.
Immortals are currently 0-4 in the Summer Split and it doesn’t seem like they’ll be climbing the ranks of the group stage any time soon.
Keaton in his statement has said that he will be looking forward to taking an indefinite break which will be used to focus on his mental health and to strengthen his relationship with his fiancee which he hasn’t seen in months.
Hey all, I'll be parting ways with @Immortals as of today and appreciate everything they've done for me. I'll be looking to take an indefinite break just to focus on my mental health and finally reuniting with my fiancee who I haven't seen in months. Thank you to everyone 💚.
Immortals are looking like a very big mess right now, but one can only hope that they eventually resolve their issues and after settling in with the adjustments made to the roster, start winning championships again.
On the 23 of June, Fnatic announced that they will be partnering up with one of the most popular fashion brands in the world, Gucci. Here is their teaser:
Celebrating the spirit of gaming. A new collaboration with @gucci.
In the sneak peek we can see multiple fnatic esports personalities wearing the clothing that Fnatic and Gucci came up with. Even though the video was only 9 seconds long, we can already get an idea of what the designs will be like.

When will it be available to purchase?
On Fnatic’s online shop, you can find an upcoming page which reveals that the fashion and esports collaboration will be dropping on the 25th of June. They also have another collaboration lined up with Champion, dropping on the 27th of July!

eStar have just announced that Yan “Wei” Yang-Wei, which is their starting jungler will not be receiving his salary for one month due to a crucial mistake that cost them the series versus Bilibili Gaming in the 3rd week of LPL. Here is their statement on the matter:
Credit: eStar esports
What was the mistake?
The mistake that Wei made, being their main Jungler, was forgetting to change his summoner spell from ignite to smite in game 1 in their series. If you’ve seen even the slightest League of Legends gameplay you are definitely aware that smite is an important summoner spell when it comes to the jungle role, as not having it will diminish the experience you gain from farming in the jungle.
When the incident happened, the eStar squad informed the referee immediately, however the referee told them that there will be no remake for the match, and so they would have to go on with the wrong summoner spells picked.
YEAH! This is the video, which can show the team's reaction when the mistake happened. https://t.co/kEI0TxVWVE
Despite the devastating news, the team reacted positively given the unfortunate situation, knowing that what Wei did, was an honest mistake. Due to not having control in the jungle, the first game ended in favor of BLG. However, in the second match, Wei played extremely well with Ekko in the Jungle to tie the series. The third match was the final game of the series and after an intense 24 minutes BLG came out on top to win the series.
If you would like to watch the full game between Bilibili Gaming and eStar click here.
The mistake clearly impacted the series, and even though it wasn’t on purpose Wei was still punished for it. Nobody is perfect and everyone makes mistakes, however, one thing for certain is that Wei will definitely pay more attention during champion select so that history does not repeat itself.

Predictions
This year’s Summer Split is one that will be marked down in history. Luckily, we are in a time where Korean League of Legends has improved so much that it is quite unpredictable which team will be victorious during a whole split. Gen.G, DragonX, Griffin, SANDBOX, and DAMWON are all teams which have a high chance at winning this year’s summer split, however T1 have been the most dominant team for the longest time and they won the Spring Split, and it’s only a matter of time until they achieve their 10th LCK title. And by the looks of it it seems like they’re ready to take another win during the Summer Split:

Predictions
The best outlook we have on the outcome of the season is through the placings of the LEC 2020 Spring Playoffs. The following six teams qualified for the LEC Spring Playoffs 2020 and seem to be the most threatening competition at the event, placed in the following way:
1. G2 Esports
2. Fnatic
3. MAD Lions
4. Origen
5. Rogue
6. Misfits Gaming
With that being said, G2 may look to be the favourite, though they aren’t untouchable. At the event, they did fall out early due to a loss against MAD Lions, followed by a run through the Losers’ Bracket to make an epic run through the event. Since then, the players of ‘Perkz” and ‘Caps’ have indeed swapped roles to potentially look even stronger.
Credit: Riot Games
Throughout the LEC Spring 2020 season, Fnatic constantly sat beneath G2 Esports fighting head-to-head for a second-place finish together with Origen as both teams earned a scoreline of 13-5. Fnatic has constantly been outperformed by G2, despite their own changes to the roster.
In terms of underdogs, the organizations of MAD Lions and Excel Esports are worth considering. Excel Esports was formed by the ex-Fnatic coach of Joey “YoungBuck” Steltenpool who wanted to build up young talent. Despite a poor Spring Split, they followed up with transfers of ‘Special’ and ‘Kryze’ and now their ceiling looks higher than ever.

Meanwhile, MAD Lions are off the back of a powerful Spring Split showing, being the only team that managed to beat out G2 Esports. So, while G2 Esports may seem like the favourite, there are other contenders out there waiting to surprise the community. How To Watch the 2020 LEC Summer Split

Predictions
Chinese League of legends is always hard to predict since the region as a whole has a bunch of talented players. However if we had to base our prediction off recent results, we’d have to say that TOP Esports is definitely the team with the highest chance of winning the Summer Split and a spot at the 2020 World Championship. Their most recent winning being the Mid-Season Cup, which was a clash between the LCK (Korea) and the LPL (China) teams.

Overall the Summer Split should be a great event, filled with intense storylines between the titans of League of Legends. Will JD Gaming keep their title? Will TOP Esports baffle the world once again? Find out by tuning into the official LPL live streams or by keeping yourself updated on our website! www.esportsguide.com
TJ Sports, the joint project between Riot Games and Tencent Holding have announced that the League of Legends Pro League, more commonly known as LPL will be rebranding and will have a more aggressive, brave and fearless look. Here below is their new logo:
Credit: Riot Games
The logo does seem like it was an upgrade from their previous logo, however, the rebrand (as per usual) brought with it some backlash. This is mainly because the new logo has similarities to Valve’s Dota 2 logo.

In company with the rebranding news, the LPL league is said to continue on the 5th of June with the Summer Split. The Spring Split was dominated by JD Gaming were by far the most dominating team in the LPL region during the Spring Split, however the big question still remains. Will they manage to take another title during Summer? Or will another team rise to take their place?

In their latest tweet, TSM have announced the roster that will be
representing them in the 2020 Summer Split. This is how the TSM squad looks
like:
Sergen “BrokenBlade” Çelik – Top Lane
Mingyi “Spica” Lu – Jungle
Soren “Bjergsen” Bjerg – Mid Lane
Yiliang “Doublelift” Peng – AD Carry
Vincent “Biofrost” Wang – Support
Here below is the full video of their announcement:
TSM’s jungler, Spica was originally on TSM’s academy team, however with
a close analysis, they have convinced themselves that Spica is the right choice
for the jungle role on their main roster.
This is TSM’s statement regarding Spica’s promotion:
“Over the past split, Spica has been working hard, making large
improvements and proving himself to our coaching staff that he has the potential
to make it big in the LCS. Through this promotion, we will provide Spica with a
real chance of showing the world what he’s capable of. We hope that our fans
join us in congratulating him and showing him their support in the upcoming
split!”
Aside from a change in the Jungle, TSM have also opted for a new bottom
lane ADC. Despite the backlash that they received regarding the transfer, TSM
saw that it was best for them that Doublelift returns alongside Biofrost. These
2 had incredible teamwork in the past and we can’t wait to see what they have
to offer us for the rest of the 2020 season.
Credit: Riot Games
Overall, the roster has a huge amount of talent, having a major part of
the squad as veterans in League of legends and the rest being the up and coming
force that TSM needs in order to come back stronger than ever in the North
American LCS.

Predictions
It is very hard to predict who will be the most dominant team during the
Mid-Season Cup as every team participating has a very high chance of winning.
However if history were to be the main source of prediction it is likely that
Invictus Gaming or T1 will be taking the win at MSC.
Overall it should be a great event to spectate, a chaotic battle between
the two most conquering regions in League of Legends.
