We’re slowly reaching the end of our continuous coverage for the Worlds 2020 PlayIn. Indeed, Day 5 marked the Eliminated Round of the event as two more teams head out. Accordingly, 4 teams remain as they contest for the last two seeds available for the Worlds 2020 main event. Read on for another daily recap!

In fact, the Elimination Round involved single-elimination best-of-five matches to determine two teams to progress and two to be disqualified. No second chances here with an entire season on the line.

Here’s how the schedule concluded for Day 5 of the Worlds 2020 Play-In:

  • Rainbow7 vs LGD Gaming (0-3)
  • SuperMassive Esports vs MAD Lions (3-2)

After a poor performance at the event so far, LGD Gaming finally showed up in a big way. On the other hand, the series between SuperMassive Esports and MAD Lions went the distance in epic fashion.

Just like that, only four teams remain in the event, with two games remaining. Here are the match-ups left as yesterday’s winners come up against the Grop’s first seed:

MAD Lions falling out early is definitely a massive upset in this regard. Otherwise, SuperMassive esports have an even more difficult task ahead of them through Unicorns of Love. Here, many consider UOL to be the favourite.

On the other side, Legacy Esports seems to be the favourite. However, LGD can potentially steal it with another strong showing. Tomorrow we’ll be offering our final general recap for the event.
