Team Performance
VRLU Ghibli had an outstanding performance all throughout the final stage of PGS Korea. They had a total of 4 chicken dinners and they managed to get a total of 79 kills while placing at high positions. Overall a spectacular performance by them which got them to 1st place with 282 points.
Griffin were not so far off, finishing 2nd with 251 points. They had a really good start to the event grabbing a 2nd place with 13 kills in the 2nd round, which really boosted their performance. They also had a 3rd place with 9 kills in round 6 and a chicken dinner in round 9 with 8 kills. It seems like whenever they had a good placement, they had a substantial amount of eliminations.
EM (Element Mystic) didn’t have the cleanest performance, but they played well enough to grab 3rd place at the Korean Finals. Their best rounds were the 6th, 9th and 10th. In the 6th round they placed 2nd and had 11 eliminations. In the 9th they placed 4th with 5 kills, and in round 10 they grabbed a 3rd place with 6 kills. EM ended the event with a total of 242 points, finishing in 3rd.
Quadro had a really good performance overall. They had 2 chicken dinners with a considerable amount of kills which really increased their chances of qualifying to PGS Berlin. However, apart from those 2 chicken dinners, the 2nd best closest placement was a 4th position, which isn’t entirely bad when Quadro was mainly getting their points from eliminations rather than placements. They had a total of 40 kills and it piled up to them having 208 points, finishing in 4th place.
Something worth mentioning in this PGS Korean Finals recap is that T1, which were expected to qualify, only managed to grab a 5th place with a total of 198 points, which is 10 points away from 4th place. Heading into the Korean Finals, T1 was one, if not the strongest team to be playing, so them not passing through to Berlin, was a definite shock for sure.
The Korean Finals were truly something to watch. All were very close and intense matches filled with great battle-grounds gameplay. Now, something you should definitely be looking forward to are the rest of the qualifiers for the PUBG Global Series in Berlin.
