Besides the competitive announcement for Worlds 2021, we also have news for in-game changes. Indeed, Riot Games has announced new champions coming to the Rift! All themed around Viego the Ruined King, it’s an incredibly exciting change we’ll cover below!
Everything was announced through a livestream on YouTube. Just like that, three more champions have been announced to join the confirmed jungler of Viego the Ruined King. Dive into the video for the entire scoop!
Accordingly, theories are trying to identify the roles of the remaining three. Consequently, as Viego the Ruined King is playing in the Jungle lane, the other lanes are likely targets.
Overall, the roles seem to be the following:
- AD carry/marksman
- ‘Artillery mage’
- AP-based top laner
All of this is based on Riot Games’ new separate IP – the Ruined King game. After VALORANT last year, it’s great to see Riot Games continuing to push the boundaries.
When will we see VALORANT characters in League of Legends? Who knows, but it’s something I look forward to greatly. This collaboration could be the beginning to the tying in of Riot Games’ future projects.
