Team Vitality win EU RLCS X Championship – How did they do it?

Due to their very high RLCS X Ranking, Team Vitality were already placed into the Semifinals of the event. Team BDS were also given this advantage as they placed first in the RLCS X Rankings.

Semifinals

Team Vitality first met against Top Blokes in the Best of 3, best of 7. Here, they started out strong, winning 1-0 and 4-2 in the initial games. Then, Top Blokes replied with 2 of their own. Unfortunately what followed were 2 great games by the French squad, as they won the first series against the Blokes.

In the second series, Team Vitality seemed unstoppable, winning the first 3 games in a row, and only losing once to Top Blokes, before finalizing the entire series. With this series win, Vitality confirmed their spot in the grand finals.

Grand Finals

Meanwhile, Team BDS were also having some solid games of their own. Winning 4-0 and 4-2 against the Spanish team Queso. This meant that Team Vitality were tasked with taking down one of their main rivals, Team BDS in the grand finals of the RLCS X season. The first series was a dominant show by the Frenchmen as they won 4 games in a row. Then in the second series, Team BDS showed a bit more strength from their side, winning the first 2 games. However once again, Vitality won 4 straight games in a row, to be crowned champions. This is how it ended:
