Team Liquid enter Rocket League by signing ex-Mousesports roster

News

7 Jul 2020

Nathan Bonello

Yes, you’ve read the title correctly. After almost 5 years of Rocket League, Team Liquid is finally entering the esport. Here is their announcement:

Why did Team Liquid choose these players?

With Mousesports withdrawing from the esport, Liquid saw an opportunity to sign Kuxir and Speed a great duo with immense chemistry that has gotten them really good placements at events. As for Fruity, him being a free agent made the choice very clear that he would be their third player as he was a very important player for his previous teams, PSG and Reciprocity.

Why did it take 5 years for Liquid to enter Rocket League?

Liquid have not addressed as to why they have taken so long to enter Rocket League, however their decision to enter was probably taken after analyzing the new format enlisted to the esport, which we have covered in a previous article.

Will the roster be successful?

A very hard question to answer, as there are many other strong european teams at the moment, namely: Dignitas, Vitality and FC Barcelona. Despite being a somewhat fresh roster, the trio are very talented and definitely have a lot to offer when it comes to competition, we’ll just have to wait and see them perform at the next big rocket league event.
