G2 have just announced that their substitute, Kristoffer “P1noy” Pedersen will be replacing Luka “Perkz” Perković in the botlane for week 4. Here is G2’s Jungler, Jankos explaining why they are making the change.
In the clip above, Jankos explains that Perkz’s decision to step down for a week of LEC was due to him needing to have a bit of free time off for himself, where he could relax and refocus for the coming weeks of competitive league of legends. This is what he tweeted last week after their victory versus Fnatic on June 27:
G2 are currently tied for 3rd with 4 wins and 3 losses, definitely not the start they expected considering that they were the highest chances to dominate Europe, however maybe after this break Perkz will come back stronger and will aid G2 in climbing up the ranks.
P1noy will be playing on the 3rd of July versus Misfits. It will definitely be exciting to see how G2 will adapt to the new changes and overcome all expectations!
