It’s finally here. Indeed, after months of anticipation, the VCT Stage 3 Masters Berlin 2021 event is right around the content. Acting as potentially the largest event for competitive VALORANT this year, everything is on the line. Indeed, read on to learn How to Watch this epic event!

As I’ll reiterate, this event is the climax of months of competition. Accordingly, to get to this point we’ve had to go through multiple regional Challenger events.

Like that, the competition has been narrowed down to the best 15 teams in the world. Speaking of which, below find all the competitors listed according to their region:

  • Gambit Esports – EMEA Challengers
  • SuperMassive Blaze – EMEA Challengers
  • Acend – EMEA Challengers
  • G2 Esports – EMEA Challengers
  • Sentinels – NA Challengers
  • 100 Thieves – NA Challengers
  • Team Envy – NA Challengers
  • KRU Esports – LATAM Challengers
  • Keyd Stars – BR Challengers
  • Havan Liberty – BR Challengers
  • Vision Strikers – KR Challengers
  • F4Q – KR Challengers
  • ZETA DIVISION – JP Challengers
  • Crazy Raccoon – JP Challengers
  • Paper Rex – SEA Challengers

Do note that originally, 16 teams were planned to attend, but one could not make it due to travel restrictions – Bren Esports.

Furthermore, the event will take place offline at the Berlin Verti Music Hall from the 10th to 19th September.

What’s up for grabs? Apart from a prize pool which is yet to be announced, the real prize here is a seed for VALORANT Champions 2021 later on this year for first place. Otherwise, a tonne of VCT points are on the line too.

Format

Moving on to format, this is where a change recently happened. Accordingly, this is how the event looks like after the community complained about the earlier format.

Kicking things off with a Group Stage, 4 groups of four teams will go through a double-elimination bracket. Do note however, that due to the absence of Bren Esports from Group D, a double round robin will be played for that group exclusively.

Anyway, from the groups, with BO3 matches, only the top 2 teams advance to the Playoffs. Here are your groups:

  • A – Acend, Paper Rex, Vision Strikers, SuperMassive Blaze
  • B – Team Envy, Keyd Stars, ZETA Division, KRU Esports
  • C – Gambit Esports, Crazy Raccoon, 100 Thieves, Havan Liberty
  • D – G2 Esports, F4Q, Sentinels

Following the Group Stage, the Playoffs will involve the 8 remaining teams fighting through a single-elimination bracket. Here, all matches will be a BO3 except for the BO5 Grand Final to end it all.

Predictions

We’ll keep this quite simple.

Heading into this event, there’s only one question on the community’s mind – can anyone take down Sentinels?

Indeed, stacked with talent, this team is simply the best team in the world right now and there’s no argument. Take a look at some of their many accomplishments:

  • VCT Stage 2 Masters – Reykjavik – 1st Place
  • NA Stage 3 Challengers 1 – 1st Place
  • NA Stage 3 Challengers Playoffs – 1st Place

Accordingly, the best chance any team has is to surprise them, so definitely not an NA team. Perhaps an EU or other region team can counter them and surprise the incredible roster.

Otherwise, Sentinels will walk away with it all.
