The PPUBG Mobile Pro League Americas (more commonly known as PMPLA) is scheduled to start tomorrow, featuring the best PUBG Mobile teams in North America and Latin America. Here’s everything you need to know about the PMPLA and how to watch it.

The PUBG Mobile Americas Pro League is a PUBG Mobile professional league for the Americas region. The PMPLA features teams from North America and Latin America. The Split will be culminated at the PUBG Mobile World Championship 2020. The event was originally intended to take place on the

The total prize pool for the PUBG Mobile Pro League Spring Split 2020 Americas is $200,000 USD. It is to be distributed between all 20 teams depending on their placement at the event. Additionally, the top 6 teams are also automatically qualified for the PUBG Mobile World League Spring 2020 Global Finals, which is due some time later this year. Here below is the prize pool + winning distribution:

  • 1st – $48,250 + Seed at World League West
  • 2nd – $24,125 + Seed at World League West           
  • 3rd – $14,475 + Seed at World League West
  • 4th – $9,650 + Seed at World League West  
  • 5th – $7,720 + Seed at World League West  
  • 6th – $6,755 + Seed at World League West  
  • 7th – $5,790
  • 8th – $4,825
  • 9th – 10th – $3,860
  • 11th – 12th – $2,895
  • 13th – 16th – $2,413
  • 17th – 20th – $1,930

There are also the Base Week Winnings which are distributed as follows:

  • 1st – $2,895    
  • 2nd – $1,351   
  • 3rd – $965       
  • 4th – 5th – $289.50
  • 6th – 10th – $241.25
  • 11th – 20th – $193

How to qualify for the main event

Most of the teams that are playing and participating in the PMPLA have either had a direct qualification due to their excellent performance in past events, or through regional qualifiers.

Tournament format

  • Gamemode – Squad TPP
  • Total amount of teams – 20 teams
    • 5 Direct Invited teams
    • Region distribution changes:
    • Top 6 from PMCO North America (Previously 5)
    • Top 5 from PMCO Brazil (Previously 3)
    • Top 4 from PMCO LATAM (Previously 3)

3 full weeks of league play, where 20 Teams are split into five groups having 4 teams each and play in a Round Robin league format. Each team will be playing 20 matches per week with the last week being the only exception, having teams play 24 matches.

The Pro League Americas 2020 Spring Split will be starting on the 6th of June, and ending on the 28th of June after 3 weeks of league play. Here below is the schedule for Week 1, starting tomorrow. You can expect same schedule for week 2, and week 3.

Predictions

The PUBG Mobile Pro League Americas is sure to be a great event with tons of competition between the top North American and Latin American teams. However with regards to predictions, I think it’s fair to say that Tempo Storm, Loops and OMEN Elite have the highest chances of coming out victorious.
