Accordingly, the Chinese region loves competitive PUBG. For those unaware, the region hosts it’s very own regional league for the very best teams, allowing for international seeding. Bearing this in mind, read on as we discuss how to watch the PUBG Champions League Summer 2022!

Event Background

Furthermore, the PUBG Champions League is held by the PUBG Corporation as the official national league. Forming part of the road to the PUBG Global Championship, this is the first step for the region.

Speaking of which, apart from the $600,000 on the line, the online event will provide 8 seeds for the PUBG Continental Series 7 Asia.

Running from the 26th July, the event will run on until 4th September. Anyways, the following are your competitors for the event:

Also note that the bottom 3 teams will be demoted to the 23 PCLP Spring event, while the top 21 qualify for 22PCL Summer.

With so many squads competing, there’s a particular format to break the competition down.

Format

This season looks to maintain the same format from the past few seasons. Firstly, all the competitors have been randomly seeded into three groups as outlined below:

  • A: NewHappy, 17 Gaming, Petrichor Road, TYLOO, XiangLu Gaming, Games Forever Young, HaloQueen, Wolf Cave Gaming
  • B: Tianba, Four Angry Men, Infantry, Change The Game, WUKONG E-Sports Club, Killer Rabbit Gaming, Dream Set Sail, i7
  • C: TakeMeAway Gaming, XingChen Gaming, Thai Ying Esports, RainbowStyle, DD Team, Soy Milk Squad, Dream Team, AcG

With 6 weeks of planned competition – how will the groups work?

Each week, the groups will face one another in a particular pattern – AvsB, BvsC and CvsA. Each match involving 16 teams have 6 rounds of competition. Following the week of competition, the top 12 teams from the matches earn a spot in the Weekly Finals.

It’s here that in the Weekly Finals, with a total of 12 matches stretched over each weekend, teams can earn points. Points here will contribute to the Grand Finals.

As you can imaging, after 6 weeks of competition all competitors would have earned a chance to compete in the Weekly Finals. With points acrued thanks to placement and kills, the top 16 teams earn a spot in the Playoffs.

Here in the Playoffs, the top 16 teams will battle through 30 matches in order to declare the champion of the PCL Summer 2022 event!
