Finally, after a few weeks of competition, the LCK Summer season is drawing to a close. Naturally, the best way to do so is through a final tournament. Accordingly, the LCK 2022 Summer Playoffs will sort out who goes to Worlds 2022!
For those unaware, the LCK Summer 2022 event ran from 15th June to 28th August. Featuring the top 10 teams in the Korean region, teams were fighting for only 6 spots available for the LCK Playoffs.
Now that we’re here, six teams will be fighting to compete for one individual seed for the World Championship 2022. In addition, the likes of $300,000 are on the line.
Anyways, here are the seeded teams below:
- SANDBOX Gaming
- DAMWON Gaming
- KT Rolster
- Gen.G Esports
Running from August 17th to August 28th, this is the final stage of competition. Notably, the only other opportunity will be the last chance qualifier later on this summer.
Accordingly, with regards to the format of the event, it’s rather simple. Specifically, the top 6 teams have been seeded into the Single Elimination bracket.
Notably, the 1st placed team from Group Stage can choose the opponent from first round. Also, all matches are BO5. Here are the seeded bracket matches below:
