For those unaware, the LCK Summer 2022 event ran from 15th June to 28th August. Featuring the top 10 teams in the Korean region, teams were fighting for only 6 spots available for the LCK Playoffs.

Now that we’re here, six teams will be fighting to compete for one individual seed for the World Championship 2022. In addition, the likes of $300,000 are on the line.

Anyways, here are the seeded teams below:

  • DAMWON Gaming
  • KT Rolster
  • Gen.G Esports
  • T1

Running from August 17th to August 28th, this is the final stage of competition. Notably, the only other opportunity will be the last chance qualifier later on this summer.

Predictions

Heading into this Playoffs bracket, it’s obvious what we need to do – let’s look at how the regular season concluded. Here are the scores below:

  • #1 – Gen.G Esports (17-1)
  • #2 – T1 (15-3)
  • #3 – SANDBOX Gaming (13-5)
  • #4 – DAMWON Gaming (10-8)
  • #5 – KT Rolster (10-8)
  • #6 – DRX (9-9)

As we’ll once again reiterate, this is only one of three opportunities for LCK teams. Apart from the LCK Summer Playoffs, teams may seed via LCK Championship Points and the LCK Regional Finals.

Naturally, let’s also take a look at the LCK Championship Points below:

  • #1 – Gen.G Esports (150 points)
  • #2 – T1 (140 points)
  • #3 – DAMWON Gaming (60 points)
  • #4 – SANDBOX Gaming (30 points)

Indeed, T1 and Gen.G are the strong favourites. Accordingly, it’s very likely that one team will qualify via the LCK Playoffs while the other will seed through LCK Championship Points.

Also note, that the LCK Summer Playoffs from last year hit record viewership statistics. Bearing this in mind, we can’t wait to see how this event performs!
