Indeed, with regards to the background context, this event is actually one of the first regionals for the region. Accordingly, we can’t wait to see the first bit of action in this region since the Free Fire India Championship.

Bearing this in mind, most of the teams here are actually seeded from this significant event from last year. With $47,000 on the line, the best 18 teams in the region are headed to this exciting regional event.

What’s else is up for grabs? Well, apart from the prize pool, there are several seeds to earn. Accordingly, from 1st to 6th, teams will earn a spot at the FFIC 2022 Spring. Meanwhile, FFIC 2022 Spring – Closed Qualifiers will be reserved or the 7-12th seeds.

Format

So, let’s discuss the format. Running from January 8th to 23rd, there’s a tonne of action.

Accordingly, with 3 weeks of League Play, each week will have 2 days of play. Moreover here a round robin format will ensue, where each of the teams will play each other once while split into three groups of 6:

  • A Group – Orangutan Elite, Nigma Galaxy, TSM, TEAM CHAOS, Assassins Army Esports, Zero Degree
  • B Group – PVS Gaming, GodLike Esports, Chemin Esports, AURA Esports IN, KM Brotherhood, SuryaBhaixGmng Esports
  • C Group – Total Gaming Esports, Desi Gamers, Revenant Esports, TEAM iNSANE, Team Tycoons, Phantom Troupe

Following the exciting League Stage, the top 12 teams will move on to the Grand Finals. Here, there will be a final game in the Grand Finals with 6 rounds of play to determine a winner – note that based on Group Stage seeding, teams will be granted a headstart.

Overall, the Points Distribution will be as follows:

  • 1st (12 points), 2nd (9 points), 3rd (8 points), 4th (7 points), 5th (6 points), 6th (5 points), 7th (4 points), 8th (3 points), 9th (2 points), 10th (1 point), 11-12th (0 points).
