Gen.G have announced that they are signing Burdol as their top laner for the 2021 season. Here is their announcement:

Gen.G signing Burdol – Who is he?

17-year-old Korean player Noh “Burdol” Tae-yoon has been playing League of Legends competitively since May of 2019. When he joined the SKT T1 Academy roster. With him on the roster, the team placed 2nd in the monthly LCK Academy series of August, and won the September event. Burdol then left the team back in November, and apparently has satisfied Gen.G as they are choosing him as a secondary Top laner for the 2021 LCK season. Gen.G have also added players in the Jungle and Middle role, while also signing Ggoong as new coach from Top Esports.

What’s next for Gen.G and Burdol?

Gen.G had a pretty decent 2020 season. They placed 2nd in the Spring Split, and 3rd in the Summer Split. They also had a good showing at the World Championship, where they reached the playoffs, but eventually fell to Europe’s G2 Esports. With a new season on the horizon, Gen.G are aiming for that number 1 spot in the LCK, and hopefully a better result in the 2021 World Championship.
