G2 introduces a new fearsome roster on Rainbow Six Siege

News

After placing 7th-8th at this year’s iteration of the Six Invitational 2020, the fans of G2 Esports weren’t too content and knew a change would probably be coming soon – despite 2019’s glittering season of multiple first-place finishes, consistent poor performances as of late have led just to this – a roster change. Proclaiming themselves as a ‘Super Team’ in a press release, we’ll be taking a closer look at the introduction of two new faces to the G2 Rainbow Six Siege roster, packing both individual skill and experience in the scene. Namely, Ben “CTZN”  McMillan and Jake “Virtue” Grannan will be forming part of the new squad.

Hailing from Natus Vincere, “CTZN” only knows one word: and that’s ‘victory’. Last year alone, the British youngster was a pivotal part of 7 tournament wins. While Natus Vincere looked strong last year, after placing 9-12th at the Six Invitational 2020, he’s quickly jumped the sinking ship onto this new one. His ability to slay and win key engagements for his team is a dangerous addition to this G2 new roster – he’s even stated that a ‘new era’ will be born!

ā€œJoining G2 is a dream come true because ever since I started playing this game I have watched them from the beginning grow into what they are now. My goals and aspirations are to win every tournament thatā€™s available in Rainbow 6 and to recreate the G2 era again with this team. My personal goal is to keep consistency throughout the year and make sure to do my job to the highest level possible.ā€ – CTZN on joining G2

If that isn’t scary enough for the opposition, there’s still one more addition left to discuss in the form of “Virtue”.  Offering himself up as a pivotal component of last year’s Fnatic roster, earning the highest rating at Six Masters 2019, the Aussie has been desperately looking for a more consistent home, where his talents may be honed further. The clutch factor which he brings, paired with “CTZN” just shouldn’t be tampered it.

ā€œHaving the chance to play for such a decorated team and org is a dream that I have been non-stop working for and now that it has happened, I wonā€™t give up until the team is on top again. Create a new era, become the best again and stay the best for many years to come.ā€ – Virtue on joining G2

Predictions

Predictions for this new roster? They’re straight through the roof in terms of individual talent, however, teamwork needs time to develop, so the roster may need some time to get together and sort their stuff out. Until then, we’re looking at a championship-caliber team which will serve as a massive threat to the entireĀ Rainbow Six SiegeĀ community as they try to establish a new era of dominance.Ā
