ESL One Birmingham Online Teams Confirmed and Chicago Huntsmen Sign Prestinni!

We’ve got two very different topics below in this short dive into the current state of esports: Call of Duty roster moves and ESL One Birmingham Online news coming right at you.

Our first topic is terrifically exciting for all of the competitive Call of Duty enthusiasts out there as the first-ever transfer in the Call of Duty League just took place and looks to be one of the most promising moves of the year. The Chicago Huntsmen have just acquired the former world champion of Prestinni from the substitute bench of the Florida Mutineers, in doing so, reuniting the twins and potentially fixing the Huntsmen’s problems as a team. Having the incredible objective sub player in Prestinni opens this roster’s ceiling higher than ever before, though it might be too little, too late for the incoming weekend of the CDL Seattle Online Home Series.

Meanwhile, nobody is too sure whether Gunless will be trading to Mutineers or not.

Quickly moving on to our second topic, Dota 2 is preparing to celebrate one of the largest online events to take place since the world’s changed through the ESL One Birmingham Online. While the date and exact schedule are still to be announced, ESL has happily confirmed the list of all 30 teams that will be at the event, while 8 more spots remain for qualifiers – teams coming from Europe/CIS, China, North/South America and Southeast Asia. The lengthy list is complete below as tweeted by ESL Dota 2 below:

As the final spots are concluded through the final stages of the qualifiers, the Dota 2 community eagerly awaits one of the top events of the year, especially since The International has been indefinitely postponed. We’ll be keeping track of the event and any of the details to be released such as schedule and prize pool. The prize is expected to be upwards of $200,000 for sure. All we know for now is that it’s coming soon and it’s going to be epic.
