Daps returning to CS:GO as Evil Geniuses Coach

CS-GO

Former NRG VALORANT Pro player Daps has just announced that he is returning to CS:GO as the Evil Geniuses  Coach. Here is their announcement:

Daps returning to CS:GO as Evil Geniuses Coach – Who is he?

Damian “daps” Steele is professional esports player who had formerly retired from CS:GO and went to VALORANT. He started his CS career in 2012 with Dynamo Gaming, and then went on to represent Gen.G in 2020. In September of that same year, he revealed that he was retiring to play VALORANT. He then played for NRG from October 2020, till June 2021. Many would argue that he didn’t find much success after his retirement, which triggered his desire to return to CS:GO.

What about EG’s former coach?

Early in June, it was made public that Zews was no longer coaching Evil Geniuses. This was because of “a difference of opinion regarding the team’s direction”, according to sources. Zews had been coaching the team since April of 2020, and has been with the team during their best moments. Now Daps looks to continue on Zews’ work and aid Evil Geniuses into the success they once had.

What does this mean?

Daps is already familiar with quite a couple of the Evil Geniuses players. This was because he had formerly played with CerQ and Brehze on NRG, and Stanislaw on OpTic. Unfortunately he doesn’t have the pleasure to be alongside Ethan, Tarik or Fugly, but he can certainly do some work with this new lineup.
