Buriram United Esports win PUBG Thailand Series 2021 – How did they do it?

Week 1

Buriram United kicked off the event with a spectacular start. In just the first 3 matches, the team had already placed 2nd, 1st and 4th, which got them into the lead. Then, towards the middle and end of the week they continued with their success, grabbing a couple more wins and high placements. During this week they finished in 2nd with 171 points and 110 kills.

Week 2

In the second week, Buriram played out of their minds, exceeding everyone’s expectations. During this week, the team had 5 wins, two 2nd places, and three 3rd placements. This got them a total of 226 points and 137 kills, placing them directly into 1st.

Week 3

By this time, the team was already way ahead of any other team, but Daytrade Gaming was slowly climbing through the leaderboard. Ultimately, it was Buriram’s consistency which led them straight to the winning position. In this week, the team managed to grab 4 chicken dinners, with multiple kills, finishing the week with a total of 153 points and 105 kills, the highest in that week (kills)!

What’s next?

As stated in the format, only the top 3 teams at this event will qualify for the Continental S4 APAC. Unfortunately, teams that placed between 4th and 11th will have to play through the Thailand Open Tournament to reach top 2 and qualify for the main event. Thailand Open will take place next week, whereas the Continental S4 APAC event will play out between the 10th and 25th of June.
