The 9th Season of the Afreeca Starleague that sprang back up in popularity since the resurgence of Starcraft Brood War in South Korea.
Organized by Kongdoo and Afreeca, the tournament will be played in the Afreeca Freecup stadium in Seoul where the 24 players will fight for the first place.

Dual tournament format: best-of-one
Top two players in each group advance
Round of 16 group stage
12 players from the Round of 24 join the four seeds from Afreeca Starleague Season 3
Dual tournament format: best-of-one (Loser's, winner's and final match are best-of-three)

Eight player single-elimination bracket
Quarterfinals through finals: best-of-five (finals best-of-seven).
