2019 The Chongqing Major

The second Major of the 2018/19 DPC Season is going to be held in China.

The first event ever organised by the collaboration of ImbaTV and Starladder.

Sixteen teams are going to compete for the $1,000,000 prize money and the DPC points.

Qualifiers:

A series of open qualifiers will be held regionally to determine the teams joining the regional invites in the second qualifier stage. Each online qualifier will consist of a single elimination bracket.

Regional qualifiers will be held for NA, SA, EU, CIS, CN and SEA. Each qualifier will see eight teams split into two GSL-style groups of four with the top two teams advancing to qualifier playoffs. The playoffs are also GSL-style. Matches are Best-of-Three.

Group Stage is composed of Four groups consisting of four teams each, playing in a GSL-style best-of-three series.

The top two teams from each group will be seeded to the Upper Bracket of the Main Event, while the bottom two teams from each group will be placed in the Lower Bracket of the Main Event.

Playoffs will be played in Double-elimination bracket.

All games except Grand Finals and Lower Bracket Round 1 are best-of-three.

Lower Bracket Round 1 are best-of-one's.

Grand Finals is best-of-five.
