News

19 Mar 2020

RLCS Season 9 Week 7 Recap went through a lot of close matches in the European Division having all matches end in a 3-1 or 3-2 score line, which shows that this weekโ€™s matches showed that EU Rocket league is improving, and at a fast rate too! In Regards to NA RLCS, weโ€™re once again seeing some Cloud9 dominance, and some unfortunate results from G2 and Rogue.

Week 7 held the following matches for EU RLCS:

  • Dignitas 3 – 1 Endpoint
  • Reciprocity 3 – 1 TSM
  • Singularity 3 – 2 Endpoint
  • Veloce 2 – 3 Dignitas
  • FC Barcelona 3 – 2 AS Monaco
  • Renault Vitality 3 – 1 Mousesports

In week 7 we saw a dominant performance from Dignitas, beating both team Endpoint and Veloce in dominant fashion. The Dignitas trio seem unbeatable this season, currently having a score of 7-1 with +9 goal difference, which puts them in 2nd place. 1st Place is Renault Vitality which is currently sitting at the same score but with +12 goal difference. It is important to bear in mind that the only loss Dignitas has this season was versus Renault Vitality in a 3-2 series.

Violent Panda highlight vs Veloce:

As for NA RLCS, week 7 held the following matches:

  • Cloud9 3 – 2 Soniqs
  • SpaceStation 3 – 0 Rogue
  • Flight 1 – 3 Soniqs
  • Ghost 0 – 3 Cloud9
  • Pittsburgh Knights 3 – 2 Eunited
  • NRG 3 – 2 G2

Cloud9 are having a much better performance than at the start of the season. Cloud9 were 1-4 back in week 5, and are currently 4-4 after their matches in week 7, which puts them at 5th place. One important thing to note is that Fireburner (Cloud9โ€™s coach) had to step in for Torment in game 5 of their series vs Soniqs, due to him having some technical issues on his side. Despite Fireburner standing in for his team, they still managed to beat Soniqs and completely demolish Ghost Gaming.

Fireburner with the goal in overtime of Game 5 to win the series:

Schedule for Week 8 of RLCS:

EU RLCS

  • Mousesports vs Endpoint
  • FC Barcelona vs TSM
  • AS Monaco vs Singularity
  • FC Barcelona vs Mousesports
  • Renault Vitality vs Veloce
  • Reciprocity vs Dignitas

NA RLCS

  • Rogue vs Flight
  • G2 vs Soniqs
  • SpaceStation vs Eunited
  • NRG vs Ghost
  • SpaceStation vs G2
  • Pittsburgh Knights vs Cloud9

Week 8 will definitely be worth watching as it will be the deciding factor of which teams are prepared for the RLCS World Championship. The biggest question is, will Dignitas and Cloud9 keep dominating for the remainder of the season?
