How to qualify for the main event

Most of the teams participating in the WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 have received a direct invite from WePlay, but to those teams that were not as fortunate, they have to go through EU and CIS qualifier. After all teams have been sorted out in their groups and seedings, the tournament starts with a group stage format which is to be held between the 23rd of April and the 6th of May with a Round-Robin format.

The teams are divided into two groups (Europe & CIS) of seven, and all matches are in a best of 3 format. 2 points are awarded for each game a team wins, whereas losses awards no points. The top 4 teams of the group stage will advance to the Playoffs stage and the bottom 3 teams of each group are eliminated from the event. Playoffs are set to start on the 7th of May and end with the finals on the 11th May. The format for the playoffs stage is of a double-elimination bracket and all matches are to be in a best of 3 format, except the Grand finals which are in a best of 5 format.

Predictions

As far as predictions go, it is very hard to say which team out of all fourteen teams will take the victory at WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1. However it is very probable that Virtus.Pro and OG will have a very good performance for this event. Virtus.pro won the most recent Europe and CIS event which was ESL One Los Angeles 2020, and OG came in 2nd. And closely behind them in 3rd were Vikin.gg which are still in a chance to participate in WePlay! Pushka League Season 1: Division 1 through the CIS qualifiers. All in all, it should be a very good event filled with intensive Dota 2 action. Will Virtus.pro and OG manage to keep their performance on par with their expectations or will an underdog team topple them and take their title? You can find out by tuning in to one of the streams above, tomorrow the 23rd of April.
