On the 5th of February, FLASHPOINT announced their CS:GO league which had been in rumors for quite some time. It has created a lot of debates and arguments of whether it is better than ESL Pro League. The main point of criticism that FLASHPOINT has received is the quality of the teams that will be playing in their league. ESL has announced their team list for ESL Pro League, and out of 24 teams, they have 22 teams that are in the top 30 HLTV rankings whereas csgo flashpoint league will only have 4 teams that are in the top 30 HLTV rankings. In total, FLASHPOINT will have 12 teams competing in its inaugural season. Ten teams will be founding partners while the other two will earn their spot through Open Qualifiers. The Flashpoint schedule is already set. So, the league is up to kick off!

Predictions
As of this moment, it is very hard to predict if Flashpoint will be a success, considering a lot of criticism it has received, mostly being the quality of the teams, and how difficult it was to get teams that wanted and were ready to pay the entry fee, so instead they resorted to inviting teams that lost the qualifiers. Heavy hitters for the event will definitely be Gen.G and Dignitas. It is expected that MAD Lions will not perform up to expectations with regards to their recent benching of their In-Game Leader “HUNDEN”. Overall we shall have to wait and see what Flashpoint has in store for us, as it debuts tonight!
