Everything you need to know about the return of the Fortnite Champion Series.

On the 9th of March, Fortnite announced their return of the Fortnite Champion Series with Chapter 2 – Season 2. It has been revealed that the FNCS will start on the 20th of March and to be eligible, all Duos must have reached the Champion League in Arena (which means gaining 6,000+ Hype Points), and have 2 Factor Authentication active on their accounts. There will also be a practice simulation which will be hosted between the 13th till the 15th of March.

Who can I duo with?

During this season of Fortnite Champion Series, there will be two tournament categories. One is for PC players and the other one is for console as well as mobile. Each of these categories will have corresponding prize pools and their own identical champions. It is important to keep in mind that your duo must be on the same platform as you are. So if you are playing on PC, you are not allowed to partner up with a console or a mobile player.

How will the format work?

FNCS will play out in three rounds. Round 1 on Fridays, Round 2 played on Saturdays and Round 3 being played on Sundays. Each session will consist of 10 games.

From each week’s event of FNCS, the top most scoring Duos participants per server region will advance to the Season Finals.

The best 1000 teams in EU, NAE, NAW and BR will progress from the 1st round to the 2nd, whilst the top 400 teams from Asia, OCE, and the Middle East will do so as well.

The 20 best duos from each week that are from EU, NAE, NAW, and BR will qualify for Round 3.

A further 120 teams will qualify depending on their Cumulative Series Points. Which simply means that if you have a consistent placing, even if you’re not part of the top 20, you can still make it to the Season Finals.

The top 50 teams from the 3rd and final round will qualify for the Season Finals.

Point distribution:

Victory Royale = 10 Points

2nd-5th = 7 Points

6th-10th = 5 Points

11th-15th = 3 Points

1 point for each elimination
